Custom Pattern Sintered Stone
Some projects need a surface that does not exist in a catalogue. Custom pattern development starts with the reference you bring and ends with a sample you sign off, and it is the part of the range that brings designers to the gallery.
What can be developed
Colour direction, veining character, pattern scale and finish, discussed against a project brief. Typical requests run from a restrained vein matched to an existing stone palette, to a graphic pattern for a brand wall or a custom marble pattern for a signature island. Production feasibility is checked before anything is promised.
A custom pattern sintered stone brief can start from a photograph, a natural stone sample or a brand colour, and the first step is always a feasibility check against production. How the process runs
1. Reference. Send the image, material sample or drawing you are working from, with the application and the area it covers.
2. Direction. The team reviews feasibility, proposes a colour and pattern direction, and confirms which thickness and format suits the application.
3. Sample. A physical sample is produced for approval. Veining scale reads differently across a three-metre island than on a 200 mm sample, so the sample is judged against the final area.
4. Production. Production follows the approved sample. Bookmatch pairs are planned at this stage so the mirrored joint lands where intended.
Where custom patterns are used
Feature walls and reception backdrops, signature counters and bar fronts, kitchen islands where the surface is the design decision, retail environments carrying a brand pattern, and hospitality spaces that need a surface no competitor is using.
What to send
Reference image, application, dimensions or area, required thickness, project location and timeline. With those, feasibility and a sample timeline can be confirmed, and the direction can be reviewed in person at the Jakarta gallery.
Questions buyers ask
Short answers. For a specific project, message the team or visit the gallery.
Can ALTARA discuss custom motif patterns for sintered stone?
Yes. Patterns are developed for feature walls, counters, reception desks, kitchen islands and brand spaces, against the reference you provide.
Can a customer bring a motif reference image to ALTARA?
Yes. A photo, drawing or material sample is the starting point. The team assesses feasibility, proposes a direction, then produces a physical sample.
Is there a minimum order for a custom pattern?
Minimum quantity depends on the pattern and format. It is confirmed once the reference and application are reviewed.
How long does a custom sample take?
Confirmed per request after the reference is reviewed; it depends on the pattern and the production schedule.
Can bookmatch be combined with a custom pattern?
Yes, where the pattern allows it. The joint position and tolerance are agreed at sample stage.
