Sintered stone price per m² in Indonesia

Short answer: in the Greater Jakarta market, sintered stone slabs trade at roughly IDR 800,000 to 1,600,000 per m². The 240x120 cm format usually sits at IDR 800,000 to 1,100,000 per m², while 320x160 cm runs IDR 1,300,000 to 1,700,000 per m². Promotional patterns can start near IDR 600,000 per m². These are market ranges, not an ALTARA quotation. The final figure depends on the pattern, slab grade and cutting plan.

Cost per slab, not per square metre

A slab is sold whole. That is where budgets usually shift:

FormatArea per slabRange per slab
240 x 120 cm2.88 m²IDR 2,300,000 - 3,200,000
270 x 120 cm3.24 m²IDR 3,200,000 - 5,200,000

Why identical sizes carry different prices

Pattern and print quality. Patterns with fine veining and natural colour variation take longer to print and cost more than plain or simple vein designs.

Thickness. 6 mm and 9 mm use less material but are not for work surfaces. 12 mm and 15 mm consume more material per square metre.

Batch consistency. Slabs from different batches can differ slightly in tone. If a single large surface must read as one piece, slabs have to come from the same batch, which affects price.

Bookmatch. Patterns that must continue across two slabs need slab selection and a dedicated cutting plan, so fabrication cost rises.

What the slab price excludes

The figures above are material only. Fabrication is quoted separately: cutting, sink and hob cut-outs, edge profiling, joints, delivery to site and installation. For projects outside Java, freight and insurance are separate line items.

Building a budget that holds

Start from finished dimensions, not from price per m². Work out the surface area, add cutting waste, divide by the area of one slab to get the slab count, and only then compare patterns within the same price band. This avoids choosing an expensive pattern and then discovering that one more slab is needed.

Freight outside Java

For Surabaya, Bali, Medan or Kalimantan, slabs travel by sea or air freight in a reinforced crate. Freight is quoted per crate, not per square metre, and depends on volume, route and whether the destination has a loading dock. Insurance is a separate line and worth taking on large-format slabs, since a cracked slab cannot be repaired invisibly. Ask for the crate dimension before you finalise the cutting plan, because crate size can limit how many slabs travel together.

What buyers usually ask at the gallery

The three questions that decide most projects are: how many slabs my kitchen actually needs, whether the pattern I like exists in a larger format so the joint disappears, and what the edge will look like after profiling. All three are easier to answer with the slab in front of you than on a price list. That is why we keep full-size slabs standing in Kapuk rather than samples on a board.

Questions

What does sintered stone cost per m² in Indonesia?

Market range as of October 2026 is about IDR 800,000 to 1,600,000 per m², depending on slab format, pattern and grade. Promotional patterns can start near IDR 600,000 per m².

Does the price include cutting and installation?

No. The per m² figure is material only. Cutting, sink cut-outs, edge profiling, delivery and installation are quoted separately by the fabricator.

Why is the per slab price so much higher than per m²?

Because a slab is sold whole. A 320x160 cm slab covers 5.12 m², so one slab can run IDR 6,700,000 to 8,700,000.

Can I buy a small cut piece?

Generally no. Slabs are sold whole and offcuts stay with the buyer, which is why the cutting plan matters before ordering.

How do I get a figure for my own kitchen?

Bring finished dimensions to the Kapuk gallery in Jakarta Barat. We size the slab count and show patterns across a few price bands. Open daily 10:00-18:00 WIB.
