Outdoor use is decided by two things: whether the surface stays stable under UV and weather, and whether the fixing system handles movement and drainage.
What the material has to handle
Sun, rain, temperature swings and, near a pool, chlorinated water. Selected sintered stone surfaces are UV stable and absorb under 0.2%, which is why they are specified for terraces, pool surrounds and landscape walls. Not every series is intended for exterior use, so the specification is confirmed per product rather than assumed across the range.
Fixing and drainage
Exterior installation needs a fixing system that allows movement and lets water drain. Raised pedestal systems are common for terraces; adhered systems are used on walls. The detail is agreed with the installer and depends on the substrate.
Slip resistance
Wet outdoor surfaces need slip resistance, which is a function of finish and texture. Matte and textured finishes are usually preferred; the exact requirement is confirmed against the application.
Where it is used
Terrace and balcony floors, pool surrounds, garden walls, facade accents and outdoor kitchen counters. For facades, wind load and fixing are engineering questions resolved before the material is ordered.
