Each application asks something different of a slab: heat, moisture, foot traffic or visual weight. The right thickness and finish follow from that, not from the pattern.
Kitchen countertops

Bathroom and wet areas
Low absorption matters more than gloss here. Wall panels in 6 mm or 9 mm reduce joints in showers and behind vanities, and matte finishes hide water marking better than polished ones.
Wall cladding
Large formats reduce the number of joints across a wall, which is the point of using the material at all. 6 mm panels suit interior walls and cabinetry fronts; thicker formats are used where the wall takes impact.
Flooring
Large-format tiles in 9 mm and above create continuity between rooms. Slip resistance and substrate flatness are confirmed per project before installation.
Brand, retail and hospitality
Reception desks, bar fronts and lift lobbies use the material as a brand surface. Bookmatch and translucent options are used where the wall or counter is meant to be read as a single gesture.
